Work experience in Brussels

EUROCITIES, the network of major European cities, offers a work experience placement (unpaid) to work under the supervision of the policy officer in the area: knowledge society
for a period of six months.
This area of work covers digital, research and innovation policy and the management of EUROCITIES’ knowledge society forum.
The placement will cover the following tasks:
* monitoring policy initiatives and developments on the EU level
* analysing policy documents and help drafting policy papers, policy positions
* communication (e.g. drafting articles for EUROCITIES newsletter, updating EUROCITIES web pages)
* organisation of forum and working group meetings
* general administrative tasks
Profile:
* university degree
* knowledge of the chosen EU-policy area, the role of local authorities and the EU institutions
* proactive; self-starter
* excellent English; other EU languages are an asset
