SVE di 9 mesi in Messico con l’AFSAI
L’Associazione AFSAI comunica che è disponibile un progetto SVE in una casa di accoglienza per anziani in Messico, con partenza a Settembre.
Sono aperte le candidature.
COME CANDIDARSI:
1) Compilare l’application form (da scaricare dal sito) in inglese al computer e scrivere una lettera di motivazione sempre in inglese;
2) Inviare application form, lettera di motivazione tramite e-mail a sve@afsai.it, indicando il paese, il progetto e il numero di riferimento entro e non oltre la data di scadenza indicata (30 AGOSTO 2012).
PROCEDURE DI SELEZIONE:
1) L’AFSAI accetterà le candidature complete (di application form + lettera motivazionale e foto digitale) pervenute all’ indirizzo e-mail su indicato entro e non oltre le date di scadenza. N.B. Nell’application form NON è necessario apporre la firma. Inoltre Se NON si riuscisse ad inserire la foto digitale sul formulario la si può inviare separatamente.
2) Tutti i CANDIDATI RITENUTI IDONEI verranno convocati per un colloquio in sede o via skype.
3) Se si supera la prima fase di selezione con l’AFSAI, la candidatura verrà inoltrata all’organizzazione di accoglienza per l’accettazione definitiva della candidatura.
DESCRIZIONE PROGETTO
Casa Día and Comedor de adultos are part of the governmental institution called DIF which is dedicated to social care and support children and elderly people. DIF is a national institution which has different representations in every state. Ocotlán, Jalisco is a small city where DIF has several orphanages, nurseries, shelters and homes for elderly people.
Casa Día is a place where elderly people from 60 years old and more receive medical attention, therapy, workshops: dance, yoga, art, etc., they also play games and sports.
Comedor de adultos is a place where people prepare food (breakfast and lunch) for elderly people. Some people eat there but they also deliver food to specific houses.
Both places receive national and international volunteers who have contributed to the development of the activities and have enriched the life of the elderly. Volunteers are hosted at both projects because support activities and bring fresh ideas for activities.
Role of the volunteer
The role of the volunteer will be mainly to support staff in their daily activities. The volunteer will help to accomplish the mision of the organisation and provide care to elder people so that they can enjoy every day at the Center.
Tasks of the volunteer
The volunteer will collaborate in two centers: Day Center and Food house. The activities of the volunteer in the Day Center will be:
-Support teachers and staff during their workshops for elder people.
-The volunteer must bring activities or workshops that s/he would like to implement; therefore initiative is a key element for this project.
-Support in taking care of the elder people, checking their health.
-Support during events or administrative tasks that might be needed during his/her stay.
The activities of the volunteer in the Food House will be:
-Help the staff to carry the food for the elder people.
-Support the cookers in the kitchen.
-Help to clean the house
-Deliver food to houses
Working Hours
Day Center: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm
Food House: Tuesday and Thursday from 6.00am to 3:00 pm
Days off: Weekends
The Day Center is open on Saturdays, you can change two days in a row during the week in case you would like to work on Saturdays.
Holidays: 18 working days. National holidays are not included.
Food: The volunteer will eat with his/her Mexican Family.
Accommodation: The volunteer will live with a Mexican Family. The volunteer can share a room and bathroom in some cases. The volunteer will get all details about his/her Mexican family one month before coming to Mexico.
Local Transport: The volunteer will use local buses.
