The Middle East Technical University Foreign Policy and International Relations Club gladly welcomes you all to the 6th session of European Union Simulation in Ankara (EUROsimA) which will be held between 29th April and 2nd May 2010. EUROsimA; is being annually organized since 2005 by METU students for the purpose of enabling its participants to incarnate the very actual environment of EU by hot debates, clash of diverse interests, negotiations, compromise and ultimately consensus under the umbrella of real EU principles. In subsequent years, EUROsimA has attracted gradually increasing number of participants from various cultures with its obvious progress which is endorsed by eminent governmental foundations such as European Union Contact Strategies, European Union Contact Group and Secretariat General for EU Affairs.
Here is the EUROsimA agenda comprising six committees: -European Council (EC) -General Affairs Council (GAC) -Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) -Home and Justice Affairs Council (HJAC) -European Parliament (EP) -Environment Council (ECO). EUROsimA is renowned not only for its high tempered debates but also quite enjoyable social events. Your pleasure is guaranteed by our organization team which puts enormous effort for you to have unforgettable memories in nightly-organized parties with different concepts. What makes unique EUROsimA 2010 is CULTURAL TRIP IN ISTANBUL ,which is the European Capital of Culture in 2010, taking place between 26-27 April for all of our foreign guests (participants coming out of Turkey and Erasmus students), providing you the opportunity of visiting the most beautiful monuments, mosques and palaces in Istanbul. Applications are now open and available in our website! Participation fee is 60 Euros for foreign participants including accommodation both in Istanbul (one night) and in Ankara ( four nights) ,transportation from Istanbul to Ankara, admission fees to all touristic places, conference participation fee, all materials and opening cocktail.
