Last minute per un progetto SVE in Bosnia Erzegovina e Macedonia!

Si cercano due ragazzi/e per partecipare ad un progetto SVE in Bosnia Erzegovina e in Macedonia. I progetti sono realizzati grazie alla collaborazione di ALDA con Europe Direct – Comune di Trieste.
Come al solito chi fosse interessato a partire, è pregato di contattateci al più presto (il termine ultimo per inviare la propria candidatura è il 28 gennaio alle ore 9)!!!

E’ compito dei candidati leggere con attenzione le descrizioni dei progetti e contattare al più presto l’associazione se trovate il progetto che più fa per voi. Gli aspiranti volontari NON sono tenuti a contattare direttamente le associazioni di accoglienza!!

Coalition of Youth organization SEGA, residing in Prilep, Macedonia, is looking for 3
volunteers for its project number 2008-SI-66, for a period of 9 months.
The main aim of this EVS project is to bring together and give positive cooperation
experience to young people coming from different cultural and social backgrounds.
Thematical concept of this project is to promote youth participation and youth
information considering international voluntary work and non-formal education
programs. One volunteer will mainly work in the central office of Coalition SEGA and
participate in projects implemented in Prilep, Macedonia, but also in the regional
offices of SEGA around Macedonia and some of the member organizations and
cooperate with local volunteers and more experienced people in the field of youth
information and youth policy. Another volunteer will work in the Youth Information
and Counseling center INFO SEGA in Prilep, as part of the information team, and
the third one will work at Youth Council Prilep where s/he will help in implementing
youth events and projects.
Coalition SEGA, INFO SEGA and Youth Council Prilep, are working closely together
in order to improve the Macedonian young people situation in Macedonia. They are
working in implementing a network across the country, to inform and empower the
young people in their rights and duties, and to aware and open them to European
issues. The volunteer working in Coalition SEGA will have the time to understand the
political situation in Macedonia and to sharp his/her analysing skills of the situations.
Coalition SEGA implemented the Youth information and counselling center INFO
SEGA in May 2010. The employees are pioneers in the field of information in
Macedonia, and thus, help and knowledge of a volunteer already sensitive in youth
information issues and willing to share his/her knowledge in this field will be then
very precious.
The volunteer at Youth Council Prilep will work closely together with the young local
volunteers, and will be able to understand the problems and challenges young
people from Macedonia are facing in their everyday life.
The main activities of the project will be the diffusion of information regarding to the
YIA program but also regarding to the daily life needs of young people; the
networking of different young people through socializing activities of the volunteers
choice, and finally, the promotion of youth participation through the Youth Council of
Prilep. The volunteers will also have time to develop their own personal projects.

Volunteers will be hosted in Mostar, city and municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the biggest and the most important city in Herzegovina and the cultural, financial and political center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The city of Mostar is situated in a beautiful valley bedded between high mountains of Herzegovina. It is thanks to the river Neretva that Mostar was able to develop as a city in the desertlike landscape of Herzegovina. Neretva’s size turned Mostar very early in to a trading centre of the region. What makes this city known is its famous bridge. The Old Bridge was built by the Ottoman empire in 1565. It was the great architect Mimar Hajrudin who had succeeds with the impossible mission to cross the Neretva river with a single span stone bridge.
LDA Mostar office is seated in very center of the city in about 100m2, with the 2 fully equipped offices and 4 persons employed and it is very important for its visibility, and beneficiaries can easily reach it. City of Mostar, City administration, as host partner of LDA Mostar provides us the space for work. Volunteers will be hosted in the privet accommodation place (flat or house), with the possibility of sharing joined rooms with the other group of volunteers or students. Food for volunteer will be provided, in the first months volunteer will use help of tutor for splaying, with the opportunity to have a main meal booked in the national
restaurant with the traditional local food. Mostar by its position and infrastructure is very accessible city. It has a beautiful weather most of the time during the year, clime is Mediterranean. Public transport by bus is not well organized. All these are reasons why LDA Mostar considers the bike as most convenient transportation mean for the volunteer, and we will provide it to them. Also, one of the important facts about the bike is that it is ecologically correct mean of transportation. Volunteers will participate to the activities organized by LDA Mostar together with SOS Kinderdorf Family Center accordingly to their motivation and skills such as different activities, trainings, workshops, seminars, exchanges, active participation in the activities related to the democratization and human rights, strengthening of local authorities and citizens.
LDA Mostar will provide volunteer with a tutor, who will be in charge of their everyday needs, giving them support in all aspects of adaptation process for volunteers (new culture, customs, and language). Volunteers will be able to attend the courses of local language too.
Depending on her/his previous experience and motivation, within LDA Mostar the volunteer will be involved in the following activities together with LDA Mostar stuff:
– Assisting in promotion of EU Youth in Action Programme at local community level
– Developing new ideas and small projects by themselves aimed to improve different aspects of local
community development process
– development and implementation of different actions that volunteer finds interesting and important for the
community with the support of LDA Mostar
– Assistance in project co-ordination and implementation dealing with youth and protection of the
environment SOS Kinderdorf Family center regarding common activities that it has with LDA Mostar and its beneficiaries would need volunteers who will be involved in the following tasks:
– Exchange of the best practices in social work field trough different workshops, theter plays and all other
similar activites that volunteer show interest in
– Assistants to the activities (workshops, trainings and seminars) for beneficiers of SOS
– Their own programs(small projects) and initiatives in this field that will be supported by SOS
– Everyday activities with children and their parents.

LDA Mostar would like to host maximum 2 volunteers per year in its office, in the same period of time, with good communication skills, team work, skilled and likely experienced in issues and actions focused to the: Strongly motivated young person, good communicational skills, creativity, willing to learn and to teach, and issues that could be added value to its engagement but that are nor obligatory: tolerance in social and other issues, Youth programs and polices, Youth in local community, teaching skills in different topics (trough different workshops and trainings), to be adjustable to the different work conditions (work with children and parents), team work. Regarding the sending opportunity LDA Mostar main goal within EVS program is to give a chance to the local youth to participate in EVS program, so we are taking the role of sending organization, and send young people from BiH for exchange.
