Company information

The European Healthcare Fraud and Corruption Network (EHFCN) is the only non-profit organisation dedicated to combating fraud and corruption in the healthcare sector across Europe. It provides its current 20 member organisations with information, tools and a platform to exchange best practices and ideas, promotes the development of common working standards and collaborates with national, European and international bodies who have an influence on healthcare in Europe.

Internship programme

Working with EHFCN will give you the opportunity to be immersed in a European organisation whose spoken language is English and to be in contact with people from everywhere in Europe. Candidates can expect to gain confidence and experience in or exposure to healthcare issues and EU affairs, relations and politics. The internship is an opportunity for candidates to improve their written communication skills and at the same time to help to improve EHFCN policy and research in relevant areas. This internship is unpaid.

Event organisation: You will be expected to assist in the organisation of our Annual Conference (to take place in September 2010) and other events, to book flights/rooms, to search for information and update the database, to attend staff meetings and take minutes, to draft information articles.

Legal affairs: You will be expected to follow up and report on national and EU policies related to healthcare fraud and corruption, to search and write news articles and to contribute to the EHFCN website’s content, particularly the EU policy section.

Profile details

Basic Requirements

* Convention of stage
* Fluent in English
* Outgoing and friendly

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; internet; Outlook; Adobe is a plus

* Good knowledge of other languages is a plus

* An interest in European politics and healthcare fraud and corruption

* Communication & interpersonal skills

* Research and analytical skills

* An eye for detail

* Be organised and tactful

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
